There are many forest trails to enjoy on Cannock Chase, Springslade Lodge is situated on a bridleway and is located for easy access onto the many tracks available for horse riding.

Cannock Chase offers superb tracks, trails and bridleways for horse riders. Springslade Lodge is situated on a Bridleway and is ideal for a refreshment stop.

Springslade Lodge offers the Paddock for hire to horse riders who are travelling to Cannock Chase in Staffordshire. Leave the horse transport at Springslade Lodge and enjoy your days riding. On your return leave the horses in the Paddock and enjoy refreshments at the tearoom.

The Chase is 25sq miles of Pine Forest, Heathland, Woodland, valleys and hills with quite roads passing through from east to west.

Although many other activities use The Chase it is possible to still find very quite trails to enjoy your ride on.

Paddock Hire Rules

Pick up muck and place at the edge of hedge line beside lane.

Owner’s responsibility to ensure the horse is of no danger to campers.

Enter paddock through gateway on campsite only and horse to be kept in full control walking on site. No riding in the paddock or campsite.

The stay is for your horse only no visiting horse allowed on campsite or in paddock.

No visitors in the paddock or to the site unless permission from owner.

Provide own insurance your horse is not insured or covered by Springslade Lodge.

Any damage occurring from your horse i.e. Fence etc to be paid for by yourselves.
